Meet the Style Spotters for April 2013 Market!

High Point Market is one of the largest destinations for furniture and home accessory buying in the world. In order to be sure that the hottest and latest trends are spotted, High Point Market implemented the Style Spotters, industry experts chosen to roam the market looking for trends.

The High Point Market Spring 2013 Style Spotters consist of top designers who compete to seek out styles they feel are fashion forward and that set the trend. The Style Spotters showcase these findings phpaide.com on an online platform called Pinterest – a website allowing users to share photos of their favorites from anything to furniture, housewares, clothing, food, etc. on virtual pin-boards. For each pin that receives a “like” the Style Spotter receives 1 point and for each pin that receives a “repin” the Style Spotter receives 2 points.

This market one of these Style Spotters is the winner from the previous market, Lisa Mende, a designer who has overcome great adversity and yet still continues to design some of the most beautiful rooms you have ever seen. She is currently participating in the Junior League of Greensboro Traditional Homes Show House – Adamasleigh. The house will be open to the public April 20, 2013 to kick-off High Point Market. We think this is going to be a must see!

Swarovski’s “Facets of a Woman” Launch

Swarovski crystals are some of the finest crystals made. Since the inception of this Austrian, family-owned company in 1895, Swarovski has been inspiring creative talents from the world of fashion, jewelry, accessories, interior design and lighting with an array of choices in colors, shapes, sizes and cuts. We look to Swarovski for its trend forecasting twice a year to see how these beautiful materials can be used in our furniture designs.

We recently attended the Swarovski Launch event for Spring ~ Summer 2014. Swarovski”s trend forecast theme was “Facets of a Woman.” This theme comes from the belief that today”s woman does it all; She”s sexy, powerful, playful and wholesome.  There are four facets of this theme that inspired its crystal color choices and shapes for this season. The first is “Classic” – a minimalist refinement with bold, sculpted silhouettes in monochrome shades which can be found in its new crystal color, Light Silk. The second is “Romantic” – a nurturing vibrant force of nature by way of organic shapes, jeweled head wear and fabrics in vibrant colors and colors of its new crystal, Crystal Rose Gold. The third is “Progressive” – a poetic radiance showcases technology with a mix of poetry in metallics and pearls. The fourth is “Glamour” – a mythical allure exuding sensuality in opulent materials which can be seen in its new Cabochette Globe Bead and Pendant.

It is with great excitement that we incorporate Swarovski crystals into our designs, as seen below. We look forward to bringing you new designs with these beautiful elements in the coming months. Be sure to come back and visit!

New Features – Our Latest Introductions

What do you do when inspiration strikes?

At Nathan Anthony Furniture, we are inspired to make new things every day.  Sometimes, a simple drive into the office opens our eyes to new shapes and textures we hadn’t seen or thought of the day before. These sights inspire us to bring new and fresh ideas for designs that we can only hope you will love as much as we do.

Take for example the sofa pictured in the featured image above – the Liberte sofa. Liberte was inspired by our love of diamond tufting and our need to explore different modern seating shapes in which to showcase this style. We chose to float Liberte on a recessed plinth, instead of adding legs or a base, so as to not distract from the beautiful curving shape. The Liberte collection also has a coordinating chair and ottoman.

To share our latest and greatest creations, we are introducing a new section on our website that is devoted to new product and new images. These creations are introduced between markets and any new skus or images of in-line product we think is noteworthy. You can find these newest pieces under the Products tab with a link “See Latest Intros.” Pricing for these collections can be found in the login section of our site. To view more new designs, visit our Latest Intros section. We invite you to browse our new styles and enjoy!
