High Point Design Week Highlights 4-2015

Wow! We are just back from spring 2015 High Point Market and feeling so enthused. Buyers loved our new collections – Elan and Radly and both received floor placement – yay! The best part about market is that we get to meet up with our customers, many of whom are the industry’s finest designers and interior decor enthusiasts.

Some of this spring’s High Point Market highlights and trends included:

Home Furnishings News Magazine, HFN, selected our Radly sectional for its Highlights from High Point Market article, featured on page 93. Thank you so much HFN!

A clever approach to trend-spotting at market was the “Instagram Takeover.” The International Market Centers at High Point started “#DesignOnHPMkt Instagram Takeover.” On specific days during market, a designer would “take over” the @DesignOnHPMkt’s Instagram account and post their likes/finds.

Nathan Anthony Furniture was among the likes and finds tagged during market. On Monday, designer @BenjaminVandiver took over @DesignOnHPMkt’s IG account and posted our Gobi chair as his favorite design pick stating, the Gobi is “fully upholstery and fully chic.” Thank you Benjamin Vandiver!

On Tuesday designer @JustinShaulis took over @DesignOnHPMkt’s IG account and posted our Perle sofa as his design pick. He loved the “sexy” grey leather. Thank you Justin Shaulis!

@HomeOnTheRunway tagged us as coolest showroom display concept. Our principal designer, Tina Nicole, designed the showroom with light colors and a large scale wall mural depicting an image of a European apartment with oldworld moulding, fireplace and chandeliers. To add to the richness of the room, the wall mural was done on velvet. Visitors went crazy for it! Tina’s on-trend color picks for market included pastel pinks and many deep-hued blues and greys.

@MichealMurphyDesign took a photo of our new Elan sectional and tagged us on his Instagam account saying “Double tap if you agree… @NathanAnthony_Furn has a cute back side” see below… Very clever Michael Murphy Design! And, thank you!

This spring’s High Point Market was a great success. On behalf of Khai and Tina and the Nathan Anthony team, we would like to thank everyone who visited us!

HGTV’s The Property Brothers & Nathan Anthony

Aired this past November and December, HGTV’s Property Brothers, Drew and Jonathan Scott, took their original TV hit to the next level by bringing a short 4 episode series to the network, Property Brothers At Home. This series featured the 6 month renovation of their stunning 2008 built Las Vegas home. The best part, our Haus sectional, Elton sofa, Shelter & Henley beds and Chadney ottoman are now part of their newly designed pad (The Scott family sitting on our Haus sectional).

Bought as a foreclosure, Jonathan and Drew had special ideas for this property. What should have taken over a year, only took 6 months to flip this house from boring to extraordinary –  just before their Scott family reunion, which took place at their newly redesigned home. Their ideas featured specs like a movie screen over their infinity pool, which could be watched from numerous areas of the house, a giant water slide to be in competition with Wet n Wild, a guest home, generously renovated with their parent’s interests in mind and a basketball court and golf course, located just outside their doors.

While this home is exceptionally beautiful and jam-packed with their ideas and designs of professional interior decorators, our favorite part of the entire renovation is our Haus Sectional, located in the living room and our Elton sofa, located in the game room.

Urban Chic Home Furnishings, a longtime customer and design showroom in Las Vegas, is behind the magnificent interiors and worked closely with Jonathan and Drew as they hand selected our styles. We are thrilled to see our pieces in such a beautifully crafted home.

Our Haus sectional used in the Scott’s home is a handcrafted piece, as all Nathan Anthony designs are, and features beautiful danish-inspired design, a comfortable relaxed seat and a tubular wood base at the bottom for a stylish finish. Here are some close-ups of Haus for your viewing delight…

Our Chadney ottoman was selected and customized for the foot of Jonathan’s bed as shown here…

Our Shelter eastern king bed was chosen for Drew’s bedroom, a beautiful wing bed featuring storage drawers.

Our Henley bed was selected for the guest house bedroom, adding a simple and sculpted look.

Our Elton sofa, on display in their game room (below right). Elton features an elegant silhouette with a modern bench seat and tailored nail-head application.
