We wanted to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to all who visited our showroom at High Point Market. We were thrilled to see both familiar and new faces and enjoyed discussing all things design.
Here is a recap of the beautiful products our team worked tirelessly to introduce for spring 2023. The new collections received rave reviews, inspired by a mix of Art Deco and Japandi styles. If you were unable to attend April market, here are the new styles introduced this spring. We look forward to seeing you all next October in Interhall IH602!

We hosted a very well-attended and informative panel discussion entitled: Designers Guide to Customizing Upholstery and Avoiding Costly Errors
We addressed topics like: The expensive fabric your client bought while traveling abroad isn’t suitable for the sofa; the extra deep sectional can’t be delivered in the building’s elevator; andthe 4-inch custom leg height has altered the seat depth. These are a few of the potentially costly errors interior designers can make when ordering custom upholstery for clients. We were excited to have influential interior designers Kesha Franklin and Reginald Dunlap share their experiences. The attendees also enjoyed some tips and tricks from Tina Nicole, Nathan Anthony co-founder and developer of the brand’s peerless design concierge service- with Courtland Sciortino, Brand Ambassador and veteran interior designer. The panel was moderated by popular keynote speaker, author and podcast host, LuAnn Nigara.

Top Tip:
Know your space’s dimensions and challenges. Make sure to measure the space, doorways, elevators and hallways. Mark off the space with painters tape if needed. Our concierge service will work with you and guide you to ensure the large items you’re ordering will not only fit, but also can be delivered into the space!

Spring High Point Market is here and we are so excited to announce the debut of our new Art Deco-inspired frame designs and high-performance fabrics in our InterHall showroom, space IH-602, April 21-26.
Our newest modern organic forms will feature exposed wood frames finished in washed and warm tones, says our Creative Director Tina Nicole, while upholstery covers draw from a palette of green shades.
“At the high end, we’re seeing a return to exposed wood framing and beautiful finishes to complement soft curves in upholstery,” says Nicole. “We’re excited to showcase these new looks along with luxe and high-performance fabrics in fresh colorways for our High Point Market presentation.”
Three upholstered frames with outstanding wood features are included in this season’s introduction; each is fully customizable. We also have a very special chair inspired by a Prada high top called RIPPLE which has heads turning, take a look below.

Lorenzo is a new benchmade upholstered platform bed from Nathan Anthony, featuring an exposed wood frame with gently curved edges and a light finish; balanced with wide-set horizontal channel stitching on the headboard and base. Its sister-style, Gabriele, features vertical channel stitching for a modern interpretation of this new classic.
The Mathéo sofa and chair frame and its sloping arms juxtapose line and curve in harmony with the exposed wood base featuring hand carved feet which are also gently rounded. Two-cushion-seat-sofa adds comfort to the tight back upholstered frame.

The year is off to a great start! We wanted to reflect on 2022 in order to pave new ways in 2023; We are feeling grateful! From Market, to collaborating with exceptional artists, to cryptocurrency, to award ceremonies our hearts are full!
The year started out with the design + art collaboration with Sahara Novotna and the introduction of the ÆTHR chair and Alais collection.

For our ÆTHR capsule collection, Novotna incorporated 24K gold bitcoin, shredded $100 bills from the U.S. mint, and hand applied gold leaf, graffiti paint, and resin to wood panels. Tina Nicole designed the chair with these signature resin artworks in mind to bring something truly special for interior designers wanting something for their clients that no-one else has.
Tina Nicole states “Blurring the line between furniture design and art, and to create new products that help to distinguish interior spaces is what I strive to do. The high-end design client is primed to invest in these objects for their homes.”

Now Showing: Elements by Diane Keaton
Back in February of 2022, we were contacted by Creative Director Jodi Finer of S.Harris Home and selected by Academy Award winning actress Diane Keaton as the company with the distinctive silhouettes to showcase the new textile collaboration and launch for October, 2022. We worked closely with their team to assist in selecting fabrics to pair with our furniture.

“Mrs. Los Angeles Ignatius Black” for our MODA barstool
Seating introductions included the beautiful and shapely ALAIS collection, which received overwhelming praise by customers. ALAIS includes a fully upholstered daybed, a plush sofa, bench ottoman and a sculptural accent chair — each are distinguished by handcrafted, ball feet produced in resin. Our creative director Tina Nicole designed the upholstery frames while Novotna crafted the 8-inch spheres, using an artisanal process she developed in her Los Angeles studio. Each resin ball bears the artist’s unique stamp.

Adding to ALAIS, is the ALAIS 2.0 style which offers a different style to the orb foot, with a new leg shape inspired by adventurous designers Faye Toogood, Pierre Yovanovitch, and Roman Plyus. The new leg form of hand-turned alder wood adds softness with curved edges that evolve the traditional block shape.

You’ve seen her in classic films like The Godfather and Annie Hall. Writing her own love story in Something’s Gotta Give. And plotting her revenge in The First Wives Club. Diane Keaton has graced the silver screen in countless movies that have earned her icon status. And while you can stream this leading lady into your home via your TV screen, now you keep her creative spirit as a permanent fixture of your interiors with the new Elements by Diane Keaton textile collection for S. Harris. A cast of sartorial solids and runway-ready prints comprises the line of fabrics, brought to life in monochromatic colorways that are signature to Diane and her dapper sense of style. We’re pulling back the curtain for a behind-the-scenes look at our Los Angeles photoshoot with the award-winning actress. Take a peek below and find out why textiles are her latest encore.
ON HER COLLABORATION WITH S. HARRIS…
“Even being a part of this is really kind of spectacular for me-this is really great material and I’m interested in that.”
Nathan Anthony partnered with S.Harris to bring the new collection photoshoot to life. Pictured here, Diane Keaton on our ROCCO CHAIR upholstered in “Mr. Goodbar” from the ELEMENTS collection.
ON HER MOTHER’S INFLUENCE…
“My mother was everything. I remember when I was young, my mother was crowned Mrs. Los Angeles. And I remember watching her on TV and thinking, ‘Ohh….I want to do that.’ So I was very influenced by my mother and what she did in that moment in her life. She was my North star.”

ON WHAT DEFINES HOME…
“My mother and my father and my family in Southern California, in Santa Ana-that was everything. And it still is.”
Well, who would have thought we’d come back from Spring High Point Market having had conversations about avatars, the Metaverse and cryptocurrency! Imaginations and musings about the future of the furniture industry and trends ran deep in our Interhall showroom, and we could not be more thrilled!
As an upholstery company for interior designers, we wanted to bring something truly special and forward thinking. A collection that merges design, art, and technology with custom offerings was the way to go for this market. Our new cryptocurrency inspired furniture collection called ÆTHR (ee-thur) debuted- a show stopping collaboration between our Creative Director Tina Nicole and multimedia artist Sahara Novotna was all the buzz.

“We share a love for art that is playful and disruptive,” says Nicole, who initiated the collaboration with Novotna. “I think Sahara’s subversive street-art style sets the right tone for expressing our mutual fixation with cryptocurrency, and the bridge between physical works and NFTs.”

It goes without saying, if your showroom is described as the “Happy showroom,” you’ve done your job at High Point Market. That’s exactly what happened. It was important for us to bring the happy straight from California. And, with so many new faces visiting this fall that we didn’t get to see last June, this High Point Market was super special. We had a fantastic turnout and we are still jazzed about it!
Tina Nicole with the fabulous ladies from HW Interiors (@hw.interiors)
It’s all about connecting and seeing our customers when we travel all the way to North Carolina to present our furniture collections designed in California. Debuting at fall High Point Market was our Alais collection, which featured a fully upholstered bed, an accent chair and a bench, each distinguished by curvaceous shapes and the addition of solid wood ball-shaped feet, crafted from hardwood and sized to scale.
The ALAIS Bed
The ALAIS Bench
“There’s been a definite evolution in our designs over several seasons,” says our lead designer Tina Nicole. “We started by rounding out accent chair frames several years ago for styles like Elan and Dali, and then more dramatically for our popular Buttercup chair. We also began to shape the foam padding surrounding the frames, which added soft dimensionality and plushness, as well as visual interest, to our Chablis and Chelle styles.”
The ALAIS ChairThe ALAIS Chair
“From there, we really pushed the envelope by shaping larger wood frames with no angles to create the Embrace collection, which was launched in early 2020 and features our best selling sofa,” she adds. “Rounder shapes are more inviting, like getting a hug, and our interior designer clients have really responded to that.”
The ALAIS Bed and benchThe ALAIS Bed in LaCosta Boucle from Fishman Fabrics
The Alais collection is additionally distinguished by the fabric cover selection for the fall showroom presentation. Sourced from Fishman Fabrics in Chicago, LaCosta is a high end wool boucle produced in Italy from pure wool and cotton. Available in 8 colorways, the base material is flecked with colorful, confetti-like yarns.
“I love the quality of the material,” says Tina. “It’s luxe, but it’s also very fun and the overall showroom design reflects that vibe. We wanted to bring a dose of ‘happy’ to Fall’s High Point Market.”
Inspiration for the showroom started with the LaCosta Boucle confetti yarns. We took the colorful flecks and “spilled” them into the showroom in the form of giant bright-colored paper lanterns as chandeliers. Walls did not go unnoticed either, we used large scale shapes to color-block the walls and threw confetti paper on them. Fun! Everyone who walked felt excited about the positive energy and, as we mentioned above, we became known as the “Happy Showroom.”

High Point Market 2021 is quickly approaching and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on! This year is EXTRA special as our intros two special collaborations.
The High Point Market is the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point, North Carolina, every six months. Serious retail home furnishings buyers, interior designers, architects, and others in the home furnishings industry can be found in High Point twice a year because if you can’t find it in High Point…it probably doesn’t exist.
Our collections will be shown in our permanent High Point Market showroom, InterHall IH- 602, June 5 – 9.Reserve your spot today!
“With the home continuing to serve as a haven, I’ve been paying attention to seat depth, double down cushion fills, extra surface padding, and cozy fabric covers like extra plush boucle,’ says Co-Founder and Principal Designer Tina Nicole. “Interior design clients want to live more fully in their spaces. People want upholstered furniture they can curl up into.”
Nicole saw a need for a curvy wing swivel chair called TEDDY that had an enveloping feeling to it. She also wanted to design a smaller swivel chair and ottoman called HELA to go with FREYA (see below.) All these shapes are hitting the right style notes- soft, cozy, rounded, billowy and functional.
The TEDDY swivel wing chairThe HELA swivel chair and ottoman
That is just the start of what you can expect to see in this upcoming market, but let’s dive in further!
Nathan Anthony x Sanne Vloet x LP Creative
Dutch model Sanne Vloet and Lauren Piscione of LP Creative were set to create a new living space in Vloet’s Los Angeles home when the pair teamed up with our co-founder and principal designer Tina Nicole to co-design a three-piece sectional inspired by the east-meets-west Japandi aesthetic. It took several rounds of drafts, prototyping and sit tests. In the end, we created FREYA!
Freya, measuring 152-inches (W) by 102-inches (D) by 27-inches (H), is named for one of the preeminent goddesses in Norse mythology. It features a tight seat and back; large boxed accent pillows; and all double-down fill on its seats, backs, arms and accent pillows. It’s shown in an ivory French boucle.

Nathan Anthony x Cara Woodhouse
The Pilar upholstered bed, custom designed by Cara Woodhouse of Cara Woodhouse Interiors, is an update to our Divano style, featuring pill-shaped edges which convey a look of the moment, at once modern and minimalistic. The headboard extends well beyond the width of the foot rails, and its linear-rectangular upholstery zones with rounded corners are separated by a refined metal accent.
At 144 inches, the extra wide shapely headboard additionally features polished chrome metal accents. This modern platform bed style requires only a Queen-size mattress, which is recessed inside the platform cavity. It is shown in a Belgian ivory velvet

2020 has turned out to be a year like no other, in many unprecedented ways. What started out as a great intro to the New Year, turned into a lockdown and a rather difficult time of life, for many, due to Covid-19 and other devastating events that have occurred throughout the year. Our hearts continue to be with those affected by this year’s happenings.
To recap the year and share some of the good that still came from it, here are our highlights of 2020.
To start off the year, we were featured on American Dream TV’s “Hidden Gems” Los Angeles edition with host Rima Shideler. We took the crew inside our 40,000-square-foot Los Angeles showroom and factory and discussed our production process and gave a little history behind our company. We were thrilled to be featured! You can watch the episode here.
With the international pandemic hitting an all time high this past March, we were forced to put a stop on production and lockdown for almost two months. We saw that in those first few months, there was a shortage of PPE. Looking at our shelves full of fabric, we decided we could help others by designing and making masks. First, we had to outfit our work areas to be safe for our employees. We built stations six-feet apart with protected shields. We pivoted our business to making masks. We donated masks to food banks, hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and more. After a while, we added some masks for sale to our website. The proceeds were donated to Global Giving’s Corona Virus Relief Fund.
In April, Spring’s High Point Market, an event we spend six months preparing for, was cancelled. This was a major upset for us, as we love meeting you and debuting our newest designs . Thankfully, for technology, we could turn to webinars and lots of video production to keep the connection with you .
Our EMBRACE sofa introduced for April High Point Market was an immediate hit. Embrace was then nominated for the 2020 Product Design Award! The award voting dates have been rescheduled to February 2021. Stay tuned for links and information on how you can vote!

Design et al London named our Tina Nicole to the WORLD’S LEADING DESIGN NAMES LIST 2021!! Wow! Tina Nicole is our co-founder, creative director and principal designer here at Nathan Anthony. Her incredible vision, fearless approach to design, dedication and devotion to her craft makes it only fitting that she was selected for this prestigious recognition. Fall’s High Point Market was given a green light and we were able to continue the show, but at 70% less attendance. We still had a huge success with the introduction of our EMBRACE Collection extensions – Cuddle chair, Swivel Chair and Sweetheart ottoman and a sweet designer taught us a new way of relaxing on a sofa… and begins with “the slide.”

This year’s High Point Market was like no other. Attendance was optional, even for exhibitors. And, with a projected 50% to 70% drop in visitors this time, it was a difficult decision. On top of that, corona virus cases have been rising sharply day by day as the weather cools. The thought of traveling to North Carolina for us Californians caused great anxiety.
But, we did it. We went to High Point and gave it our best. It turned out to be so worth it. Visitors who came were serious about shopping. And, we met so many first-time-to-market visitors, and people who were just walking by with smiling faces, their excitement was palpable. With daily health screenings, masks and hand sanitizer in abundance, everyone seemed to feel safe and at ease.
A new designer to High Point, Olivia Shae, enjoying our EMBRACE SOFA
When you have a hit, it’s important to go with it. So, this October, we added on to our wildly popular EMBRACE. We added an Embrace Cuddle chair and a half and an Embrace swivel chair. We also designed a new SWEETHEART ottoman to go with the EMBRACE collection.
Embrace, unlike any other seating collection, is the type of sofa that one “slides” into and does not just “sit” on. We created some fun moments capturing designers showing us how to do “the slide.”
Here are some more favorite captures from High Point Market 2020!

As the nation’s economy struggles to put itself back together, the furniture and home furnishings industry is having an outstanding year. Americans, working from home and no longer traveling for business or pleasure, are shifting huge amounts of their disposable dollars to fixing up and decorating their personal and rental homes. This trend—combined with product stock shortages created by panic-induced order cancellations earlier in the year and factory shutdowns—created a seller’s market – excerpt from Business of home
Nathan Anthony has seen an uptick in the demand for its products and custom furniture as more people are wanting to renovate their spaces, our designer/customers are busier than ever! Because we are a domestic manufacturer, we are able to create beautiful custom furnishings and meet deadlines.

Wanna Snuggle? Good Vibes! Suite Life! Happy Pills! It seems our messaging at High Point Market resonated majorly with visitors. Pair that with eye-catching showroom design, product introductions, speaker event, and book launch and we were the talk of the town. The most fun though was our speaker panel event, co-hosted with LUXE Interior & Design Magazine called: Art of Risk-Taking: Bold Moves in Design, Business + Life. We had a packed showroom and had the pleasure of meeting so many design enthusiasts, new buyers and designers.

@carawoodhouseinteriors
@byrobynblair
This year we are collaborating with leading interior designer and influencer Cara Woodhouse Interiors. The collaboration was conceived when Woodhouse was tapped by niche pop artist and media darling Robyn Davidson – who markets her colorful candy-inspired art under the name byrobynblair – to design Davidson’s Tribeca loft apartment in bold candy-colored tones reflective of the artist’s brand. Working in tandem with our designer, Tina Nicole, Woodhouse chose a collection of Nathan Anthony signature upholstered items, customized by Woodhouse, for the Tribeca loft living areas and bedroom.
These new pieces, will debut in a special presentation in our new High Point Market showroom, InterHall space IH-602! #Yayus
Fall 2019 High Point Market will run October 19-23rd, 2019, with a soft opening day for us on Friday 10/18.
Following the show, Cara Woodhouse will exclusively offer NA-produced items through her new shoppable content platform at www.woodhousedecor.com.
On SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19 @ 3p.m., in conjunction with LUXE. Magazine, we are hosting a panel discussion called: THE ART OF RISK TAKING: Bold Moves in Design, Business & Life, with our very own Tina Nicole, Cara Woodhouse of Cara Woodhouse Interiors, Robyn Davidson pop artist byRobynBlair and Erinn Valencich of Style Row. Location: Nathan Anthony showroom, IHFC IH602.

Just back from Spring High Point Furniture Market 2019 and We. Are. Amped!
Every season we look forward to High Point Market… but this year, it was extra special. Celebrating the launch of our new permanent showroom, IH602 was amazing! With a ribbon cutting ceremony and champagne to mark the momentous occasion, we were super excited and appreciative to all who celebrated with us. We’ve been showing in Interhall since 2010, wow! It’s nice to have IH602 to call home now, so our customers and fans can find us every market, yay!

New styles and new looks are the draw at High Point market and we really try to bring it every time. This market, we added performance fabrics to our line up of new upholstery with 8 new colors of Ultrasuede and, new for us,- SUNBRELLA! No longer mostly for outdoor, Sunbrella is THE benchmark for indoor performance fabrics too. Check out our Pow! ottomans in Ultrasuede and Filip sofa in Sunbrella!
To keep the party going, here are the stars and highlights from #HPMKT High Point Market Spring 2019:

Fresh color is the call of spring. New blooms abound and everything is just perky. Our color line up this market was just that. Principal designer, Tina Nicole felt inspired by cool and warm tones of oranges- mango, raisin, pinks and blues- Caribbean, lake, cerulean and, of course, her favorite- citron + hues in between this season. When yarns cross, you see gradients of pinks and taupes that help it all make sense for the interior decor. Whoa!
Juliet sits on three elegant and distinctive legs. Her curvy and sloping profile enfolds like the carriage of a 1930s coupe, making her the center piece of any room. She’s available with the arm on the left (as shown #0369) or the arm on the right (#0248) or with two arms (#0468), or in custom sizes.

Ready, set, vogue! Last week, our newest products hit the cat-walk in our run-way themed showroom at the October High Point Market 2017. The showroom featured wall graphics to underscore the theme, upholstery color palette of blueberry, blush and bone hues, as well as variations of white and gray, plus lush layered leathers.
“We were inspired by the ornate fabrics, puffy sleeves and fringe seen on the fashion runways in New York, Paris and Milan this year,” said Tina Nicole, co-owner and lead designer of Nathan Anthony.
High Point Market is the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world, bringing more than 75,000 people to High Point every six months. You can expect all serious retail home furnishings buyers, interior designers, architects, and others in the home furnishings industry to be seen at the market twice a year.
The models that took the run-way this market were:
ELAN SWIVEL CHAIR
Reprising a best-seller, the Elan swivel chair is reimagined this fall with a new, limited edition leather application. White leather with black leather strips are hand-sewn in a unique tiled pattern along the chair back, cascading into a dramatic 18-inch fringe that drops from the seat bottom. The result is a head-turning, jaw-droopingly gorgeous chair.
Tina Nicole & Khai Mai, designers and co-founders
JOLIE SWIVEL
Demonstrating her mastery of cover-to-frame applications, Tina Nicole, lead designer, daringly brings us a new, leather-dressed swivel chair. Jolie is offered as a swivel chair or as a sofa. Key features: masterful inlays of ruched leather on the arm side panels, accented with sparkling crystals, or crimped leather layered in a ruffle effect. The impressive box-shaped swivel chair rests on a metal tubular base, available in three on-trend finishes.
CIELO LOUNGE SYSTEM
Designed for easy socializing, the Cielo sofa features a series of movable, “floating” back cushions that may be rearranged in a 360-degree pattern to fit any configuration of sitters. The cushions are weighted, providing ample support while still being easy to move and reconfigure. The result: Cielo can go formal, relaxed or lounge-y, depending on how the cushions are arranged. Sporting deep diamond tufts, Cielo floats on an upholstered plinth base whose channels are precisely married to the exit of every tuft. Four sofa lengths are available and customizable.
ELAN ANGLED SOFA
Responding to customer demand for more choices in the company’s range of designs featuring strong angles, Nathan Anthony introduces a new frame to its popular Elan collection. The sofa’s boasts an artful geometric back-panel with a new inviting shape – a beautiful angled metal base. Its base is available in three on-trend metal finishes. Cover options include new piqué and herringbone leathers with patterned embossing – a designer’s favorite!
SABINE SOFA
For the first time, the popular Sabine sofa is now available in a loose cushion-seat version. One of the most recognized sofas in furniture design today, the luxurious Sabine sofa boasts a modern Chesterfield silhouette with an all-over deep tufted back, arms and seat, shown this season in luxurious French Grey Ultrasuede®. Each tufted button is hand placed in consideration of where the body meets the surface, to ensure comfort. The sofa sits on sexy, spiked wood legs meant to resemble fine Italian heels.
CAFFE ACCENT CHAIR
Sophisticated and sensual, the new Caffe accent chair features gently sloping lines anchored by tapered wood legs in a variety of stylish finishes. Artistically executed, the model is offered in a range of new, premium leathers from Scandinavia, including versions with premium piqué and herringbone embossing.
EMELIE CHAIR
Emelie is a new modern wing accent chair with exposed wood legs and lovely curved back that’s perfect for highlighting textiles. At market, Nathan Anthony will feature Emelie in an innovative, two-tone, fabric-leather, blending a dramatic black-and-white plaid on the seat back with crisp white leather on the seat top and inside back. A second version of Emelie sports a seat back of gently ruched leather, dotted with reflective Swarovski crystals. The chair’s angular wood legs are available in any of Nathan Anthony’s wood finishes.

In case you missed the High Point Market spring furniture fair, we can sum up our showroom in one word: Buzzing… Buzzing in terms of color pop, buzzing in terms of visitors, buzzing in terms of energy. As the go-to destination for innovative craftsmanship and trend setting furniture, most upholstery buyers came to see us and if you didn’t, you could not have missed us, (you’ll see why!) Here are the highlights:
Home Accents Today’s April 17 issue called out the trends for contemporary silhouettes, “On the contemporary front, bold, modern looks give a nod to architectural inspirations. Geometric forms are key to the equation, with triangle, lines, squares and circles come center stage in inventive, striking compositions. Interlinked and layered shapes reinforce the importance of these timeless symbols.
Neutral colors dominate the market, but color plays an important role when applied as an accent pop. Saturated shades of orange, red, cobalt and turquoise add energy and excitement, with verdant greens and radiant yellows as the most sought-after shades.”
Neutrals were anything but neutral in our showroom, indeed they had attitude. When set against black and white birch tree murals and checkerboard flooring, there was a frenetic but artsy vibe. Our sectional and sofa seating groups were covered in soothing greys, taupes and spa covers against deep jewel-toned ambers, rubies and greens on accents.

Pantone’s Fall 2017 Fashion report states, “Unexpected combinations [of color] are eye-arresting and create an unusual color dichotomy.” It’s about the unusual pairings of colours – warm hues and cool hues – opposing forces that visually harmonize; this makes for a more vibrant look. Indeed, orange is never more orange when next to green and green is never more green when next to orange. We paired warm orange and ruby with cool greens. If art mirrors current events, the effect with these pairings was like politics today – opinionated, combative and disruptive. These pairings were unconventional, a-typical, and eye-brow raising. They just wanted to be heard.
The art deco inspired and architecturally sophisticated new Chelle chair caught the attention of anyone cruising by. In an on-trend persimmon velvet on a black & white checkerboard floor, Chelle was hard to miss. Design blogger @MargotAustin and @LeslieNewby were just a few one of the many that snapped a pic of Chelle.
More color pop? Greenery being the color of year from Pantone encompasses several hues of green and opens the door to pair different types of greenery together as we see in nature. Check out our beautiful Korz chairs in new leather paired with the new Baron wing chair in green velvet and Baron bed in a neutral linen-like cover. Green hues are ranging widely from greens that read more yellow to greens that read more blue and the trend is to pair them all together. We had a very layered green look here that visitors just loved.

Geometric forms with intersecting lines and 3-d effect brings us to Grace. Taking inspiration from London’s famous Gherkin building, the new Grace bed exhibits quite a feat of engineering and a dance of graceful grid lines framed by exposed wood reaching skyward. These hand-crafted geometric-shaped upholstery panels require precision accuracy between each element of the grid. Red, another important color showing up on runways and in home furnishing showrooms. See how we showcased red in a jewel-toned ruby red velvet paired with gold finishes on Grace and Minx wing sofa.

We also showed off our custom capabilities in a fun and innovative way (most said) on our Sabine sofa by covering her legs and dust cover in a fabric we call Haute lips. We put mirrors underneath the sofa for a peek-a-boo effect. Sabine didn’t mind… We used the hashtag #blowusakiss but some fans got creative too: #kissmychair and #lipsynching.

A market favorite, our new Aerie swivel chair which features charismatic angled wood components was featured in both Home Accents Today and Furniture Today. Aerie was also caught in the middle of our photo with some much anticipated visitors… we had the pleasure of hosting the Design Bloggers Tour, in partnership with AD360, in our showroom and enjoyed meeting everyone of these accomplished and talented designers and design bloggers. Thank you for visiting!

New Nathan Anthony Designs Take Inspiration from Architecture and Fashion. London’s iconic Gherkin skyscraper sets tone for new collection.
Inspired by the famous Gherkin skyscraper in London’s financial district, we are introducing a uniquely upholstered bed called Grace, along with a series of coordinating chairs. The iconic office tower located in the heart of “The City” features a distinctive bullet-shaped grid pattern in glass and metal. Its post-modern, high-tech architecture inspired us to want to create something tall, luxurious and striking. Meet Grace.
“Like ‘The Gherkin,’ the complex geometric grid featured in our Grace collection reaches skyward, but in fabric and leather,” says Tina Nicole, lead designer and co-founder. “In addition to the architectural reference, grid patterns play a big role in fashion, where they add intrigue to items such as fishnet stockings, headwraps and leather goods, check out this image I collected at an art gallery in the Netherlands by the Cobra Art Company.”
The Grace bed also features an exposed wood frame, drawing attention to the grid design. Its symmetrical pattern appears to reach upwards, adding an element of drama. “We expect the new designs to trigger a big ‘wow’ reaction during market,” said Khai Mai, co-owner and CEO. “They represent quite a feat of engineering, since the tolerance between each element of the grid has to be incredibly accurate.” Grace is offered in a range of wood finishes and will be featured at Market in a luxurious, ruby-colored faux mohair for an especially sophisticated ‘soft modern’ design statement.
Along with our spotlight on Grace, other new designs will be featured in our striking black and white showroom. The clean combination of black and white provides the perfect backdrop for a colorful fabric and leather palette this season: orange blossom, cranberry and citron green are among the happy hues. Warm jewel tones, such as amber and sienna, deliver additional “pops of color,” enhancing Nathan Anthony’s shapely 36o-degree silhouettes.

TORINO TABLES
Nathan Anthony’s Torino table system takes inspiration from Fiat’s legendary Lingotto factory in Turin, Italy. Completed in 1923, Fiat’s five-level factory featured a unique spiral assembly line that moved up through the building story by story until it reached a rooftop race track, where each car was tested upon completion. The factory closed in 1982 but the building continues to be a popular destination, housing a shopping center, theater, convention center and upscale motel.
Featuring slim, race track-shaped surfaces of maple or walnut, the Torino collection consists of six tables of varying heights and sizes. Each table is built as an oval, steel tube frame, with legs placed at angles around the race curve top, for extra visual interest. The frame sports a powder- coated Flat Black finish or oil-rubbed Bronze tone. One model sports a C-shape cut-out for easy nesting.

ROXX RUGS
Sourced from a leading producer in Australia, the Roxx collection features three sizes of area rugs made of close-cropped wool shag or shearlin sheepskin, with a lush, 2- to 2.5-inch pile. For the initial introduction, three on-trend color ways are available — Mid-grey, Pearl and Storm in both large and mini scale.
“The Roxx collection is floor décor made up of organic shapes, luxurious textures and differing sizes that can work in unison or stand beautifully alone,” said Tina Nicole, Nathan Anthony’s co-owner and lead designer. “They add a pleasing, playful tranquility to any room, whether it’s one rug used in front of a sofa, two rugs under side tables or all three placed together in the front foyer. Seen together, they look like elegant stepping stones.”

Wow! We are just back from spring 2015 High Point Market and feeling so enthused. Buyers loved our new collections – Elan and Radly and both received floor placement – yay! The best part about market is that we get to meet up with our customers, many of whom are the industry’s finest designers and interior decor enthusiasts.
Some of this spring’s High Point Market highlights and trends included:
Home Furnishings News Magazine, HFN, selected our Radly sectional for its Highlights from High Point Market article, featured on page 93. Thank you so much HFN!
A clever approach to trend-spotting at market was the “Instagram Takeover.” The International Market Centers at High Point started “#DesignOnHPMkt Instagram Takeover.” On specific days during market, a designer would “take over” the @DesignOnHPMkt’s Instagram account and post their likes/finds.
Nathan Anthony Furniture was among the likes and finds tagged during market. On Monday, designer @BenjaminVandiver took over @DesignOnHPMkt’s IG account and posted our Gobi chair as his favorite design pick stating, the Gobi is “fully upholstery and fully chic.” Thank you Benjamin Vandiver!
On Tuesday designer @JustinShaulis took over @DesignOnHPMkt’s IG account and posted our Perle sofa as his design pick. He loved the “sexy” grey leather. Thank you Justin Shaulis!
@HomeOnTheRunway tagged us as coolest showroom display concept. Our principal designer, Tina Nicole, designed the showroom with light colors and a large scale wall mural depicting an image of a European apartment with oldworld moulding, fireplace and chandeliers. To add to the richness of the room, the wall mural was done on velvet. Visitors went crazy for it! Tina’s on-trend color picks for market included pastel pinks and many deep-hued blues and greys.
@MichealMurphyDesign took a photo of our new Elan sectional and tagged us on his Instagam account saying “Double tap if you agree… @NathanAnthony_Furn has a cute back side” see below… Very clever Michael Murphy Design! And, thank you!
This spring’s High Point Market was a great success. On behalf of Khai and Tina and the Nathan Anthony team, we would like to thank everyone who visited us!
