FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HIGH POINT – Bench made upholstery resource Nathan Anthony highlights its innovative approach to traditional sewing and fabric application for its design-forward Minx collection and urban-influenced Dali accent chair, debuting at the April High Point Market in InterHall space IH411.
The seven-piece Minx collection — the brand’s major launch this market — features a pioneering, diagonal stitching treatment. When combined with the design’s swooping shapes and undulating lines, the dramatic upholstery frames appear to be sporting angel’s wings, says Nathan Anthony co-founder and lead designer Tina Nicole.
The collection includes a wing sofa and a fainting couch, both of which float on gently tapered metal legs. Each is designed with a modified shelter back, and sloping arms that graduate down to wrap each side of the seat surface – the effect is like a hug for the sitter.
This season’s launch also features an ample tight-back sofa, handsome angled arms, with a roll-over arm treatment resembling a pillow. Futuristic double-stacked wood legs accentuating the angled arm are painted in metallic silver. Minx will also include a modular sectional and occasional accent chair, as well as a sassy vanity stool with curvy legs and deep back quilting. Cover options include perennially fashionable animal prints, and a crushed velvet in a fresh color palette.
