Swarovski crystals are some of the finest crystals made. Since the inception of this Austrian, family-owned company in 1895, Swarovski has been inspiring creative talents from the world of fashion, jewelry, accessories, interior design and lighting with an array of choices in colors, shapes, sizes and cuts. We look to Swarovski for its trend forecasting twice a year to see how these beautiful materials can be used in our furniture designs.
We recently attended the Swarovski Launch event for Spring ~ Summer 2014. Swarovski”s trend forecast theme was “Facets of a Woman.” This theme comes from the belief that today”s woman does it all; She”s sexy, powerful, playful and wholesome. There are four facets of this theme that inspired its crystal color choices and shapes for this season. The first is “Classic” – a minimalist refinement with bold, sculpted silhouettes in monochrome shades which can be found in its new crystal color, Light Silk. The second is “Romantic” – a nurturing vibrant force of nature by way of organic shapes, jeweled head wear and fabrics in vibrant colors and colors of its new crystal, Crystal Rose Gold. The third is “Progressive” – a poetic radiance showcases technology with a mix of poetry in metallics and pearls. The fourth is “Glamour” – a mythical allure exuding sensuality in opulent materials which can be seen in its new Cabochette Globe Bead and Pendant.
It is with great excitement that we incorporate Swarovski crystals into our designs, as seen below. We look forward to bringing you new designs with these beautiful elements in the coming months. Be sure to come back and visit!
