WestEdge and the SoCal Design Community

This November was our first time exhibiting at WestEdge Design Fair, and it proved to be an energizing way to close the year. Much of the conversation centered on recovery from the Palisades fires. Designers from across the region were assessing the projected rebuilding timeline and how it will influence client expectations and project planning.

They compared approaches, shared practical strategies and offered perspective on what the next few years may hold. It was a powerful lineup, thanks in part to the WestEdge organizers and contributor Josh Cooperman of Convo by Design.

For Nathan Anthony, WestEdge gave us the chance to connect with many of you and to share our approach as an L.A. manufacturer focused on customization and thoughtful craftsmanship. Our booth featured miniature 3D-printed versions of some of our most popular upholstery designs. I loved watching designers and attendees delighted by these maquettes.

In our booth, we enjoyed meeting with designers from Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Pasadena and beyond, including Claudia Afshar, Stephen Pappas, Rachel Moriarty and Jeanne and Raymond Chung of Cozy Stylish Chic.

WestEdge made it clear how interconnected this community is and how much we gain when we collaborate, especially in seasons of change.

As we step into 2026, we remain focused on supporting your work with the customization, craft and partnership you expect from us. I’m excited for what’s ahead

Reflecting on 2024: Moments of Creativity

As we step into 2025, recent events have reminded us of the resilience and creativity that define our industry. As a Los Angeles-based company, the recent wildfires have deeply impacted us. We hold cherished memories of Malibu and the Palisades, now forever altered by the devastation, and have experienced firsthand the stress of evacuation and uncertainty.

In response to these challenges, we are proud to be part of LACanDo.org—a collective of creatives and manufacturers working together to provide essential furnishings to those displaced by the fires. This initiative underscores the vital role design plays in creating spaces that offer both beauty and comfort, particularly in times of crisis.

As we look to the new year, we reflect: how can we continue to craft spaces that resonate, offer refuge, and push creative boundaries? Let’s begin by looking back at some design wins from 2024.

2024 was a year where innovative design choices met thoughtful craftsmanship. Our community of designers showcased their exceptional talents, creating spaces that told stories and evoked emotion.

Here are some standout projects from 2024 that exemplify creativity and excellence in design:

This dynamic project – featured on NBC’s OpenHouse TV – demonstrates how sculptural forms, like our Michel sectionals, become focal points of a room.

A sophisticated neutral palette from a top interior designer featuring our 2100 sectional proves that simplicity is timeless.

Soft, flowing lines in this stunning bedroom project—like those of our Alais bench—bring a sense of tranquility and comfort, transforming the space into a true sanctuary for rest and relaxation.

Pops of color enhance an otherwise monochrome palette, showcasing our unparalleled upholstery craftsmanship on a sofa and ottoman.
